England play Italy at Twickenham this Saturday and the match will be refereed by Mike Adamson from Scotland and this will be his first six nations in the middle though he was assistant referee one in last Saturdays Italy v France. Those of you who can cast their mind back to 29th March 2014 when Westoe were hosts to Huddersfield in a Level five match. A hard fought match where Huddersfield took command of the match in the first half but Westoe came back at them in the second half and started to take command of the scrum. The score was 31 - 37 with ten minutes to go when Huddersfield had two of their front row injured and the match went to un-apposed scrums for the last ten minutes. The final score was 31 - 37. The referee was Mike Adamson from Scotland, an ex sevens international who was on exchange and being assessed by me. My final comment on his report was "He is on a learning curve and showed that he has the ability and potential to develop much further."
