Westoe's first aid man for a lot of years and a supporter of the club for many more.

Ronnie was aged 95 when he died early on Thursday, 18th April after being admitted to South Shields hospital a couple of weeks ago. He had been employed as an electrician at Westoe pit before he retired. He joined Westoe rugby club approximately fifty years ago and was the first aid man for over twenty years and continued to support the teams at matches until a few years ago when his health stopped him getting out so often. His funeral is at South Shields crematorium on Tuesday, May 7th at 2.00pm.
