Dave Barrow was a member of Westoe for a number of years and played mainly for our third and fourth team and he captained the fourth team for a number of years. He moved away due to his job and eventually retired to Whitley bay and often could be found watching Percy Park. He and a number of his rugby friends still visited Westoe during the season to watch matches and each year they would make it a full day with lunch before the match, watch the match and then drinks before their bus took they back over the water to Whitley Bay. Dave leaves a widow and two children.
