West of Scotland Cricket Club have a huge few days of cricket coming up with several games happening over the next four days.
This evening (21st June) the Under 14s travel to Stirling County, looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat to Clydesdale last week with youngsters Gordon Bratt and Robbie Walsh full of confidence following their wickets for the Hamilton Crescent XI last weekend.
Tomorrow (22nd June) The XI take on Stirling County at Hamilton Crescent . With the other top half teams playing each other West are looking to cement themselves as title contenders at the half way point of the season. The Partick XI have a bye week as they sit top of the table with Whitehaugh having the opportunity to go joint top.
The Hamilton Crescent XI are looking for a win against Kingholm at New Williamfield to move into the promotion spots in Division 4.
On Sunday, West of Scotland are hosting a Kwik Cricket Festival with youngster from all over the region coming to Hamilton Crescent for a morning of fun.
This will be followed by the Women's XI taking on Royal High Corstorphine, high flyers in the Women's Premier League. West Women are looking to retain their 100% record in what is sure to be one of the biggest games of the season.
Meanwhile, the 1st XI travel to Weirs CC for the second round of the Scottish Cup as they look to progress to a Quarter Final away to either Prestwick or Heriot's.
West's Joint Development League team with Hillhead CC will be taking on Uddingston Development XI at Hughenden as the young side look to continue their challenge for the Development League title under the wise guidance of Skipper Liam Howgate.
Just in case that isn't enough cricket for one day, Dr. Anthony Lewis is Captaining the Sunday XI away to Windyedge at New Anniesland. A welcome return to the white and maroon for the former Chairman.
Monday sees the juniors in action again as our U12s, joint with Hillhead CC take on Accies as our U16s travel to Prestwick.
Look out for the midweek fixtures for next week as Partick have a Quarter Final away to Albert Park in the Western Cup and McCrea West of Scotland host Prestwick at home in the Quarter Final of the McCulloch Cup.
