Hamiton Crescent battled hard but unfortunately lost by 16 runs to Langloan in the Glasgow Cup.
HC won the toss and invited the home team to have a bat.
Strong early partnerships pushed the Langloan score into three figures at a good pace with the standout score of the first half coming from Stephen Allison.
Langloan had a deep batting lineup which finished with Humza Sabri 36* and a total of 155 on the board.
Ed Williamson was rewarded with 3 wickets for his efforts with the ball.
Hamilton Crescent's reply didn't get off to the best of starts with Farndale caught off Leslie's bowling for 0 in the first over. A solid 80+ partnership was then crafted between Gopi Nair and Pavan until Amarnath went for a terrific knock of 68 lbw.
Langloan continued to press with the ball as West struggled to regain the momentum with meaningful partnerships. Dhillon chipped in with a valuable 29 until he was caught by Davidson.
Despite their best efforts the tailend couldn't close the gap sufficiently and Hamilton Crescent finished their innings on 139.
Hard luck on the night but well done to Langloan who should real strength in depth in the first innings to make it a tough total to chase.
