The Partick XI's defence of the Premier Reserve League title got a major boost at the weekend after an emphatic win over Titwood.
Having won the toss and chosen to bowl, Captain Gurjit Singh produced a wonderful spell of seam bowling to open up, supported by Blaal Hussain opening from the other end.
On a green seamer, Toby Gardiner (3-8) and Graeme Etheridge followed up the openers with simlalrly tight lines allowing Gurjit Singh to come back and take the last two wickets finishing with figures of 5-31 as Titwood were 75 all out in the 31st over.
Needing 76 runs to win the Partick XI did not make light work of the chase as Titwood made the most of the conditions. A 35 run 6th wicket partnership between Blaal Hussain (19) and Amol Deshmukh (13*) ultimately won the game as Partick secured a 4 wicket win that takes them to the top of the table.
