London Rugby League fans are in for a treat as a huge weekend awaits. The Wests Warriors are set to take on 3 opponents across the course of two days.

Fresh of a double header weekend against West London rivals Hammersmith Hills Hoists, the Warriors are looking to play 3 games this week across the London Rugby League landscape.

Both sides secured points last weekend with the Wests Warriors Pounamu (Reserve Grade) coming back from 18-10 to secure a 22-22 draw, whilst the First Grade side snatched victory, also overturning a deficit on their way to the two points.

Both sides will have their work cut out for them as the Pounamu travel south of the river to take on the reinvigorated South London Silverbacks who sit third in the London and South East Competition. The Pounamu are undefeated and a win over the Silverbacks will be crucial in staying in touch with the impressive Brixton Bulls.

First grade head out of town a little to take on the Surrey Sharks. A slow start to the season for Surrey has them sitting at the foot of the table but they are always a tough opponent and will be looking to get their season moving sooner rather than later. Wests can't be caught off guard with the cluster at the top of the table tightening every week.

Normally Sunday is a day for the players to recover and relax but this weekend the fun doesn't stop with the London League. The London Broncos have kindly invited us to host a match at their Ealing Trailfinders Stadium as a curtain raiser to their Championship clash with Dewsbury.

The St Albans Centurions have agreed to double up on fixtures for the weekend and we look forward to welcoming them to the West.

It's great to see so much Rugby League occuring in London and with 18 teams playing across two divisions in London alone the game is having a bumper summer in the South.
