The Rugby Football League (RFL), the governing body for Rugby League in the United Kingdom has launched a new media campaign with a fresh new logo that aims to capture the spirit and evolution of the sport. Alongside this they have re branded the English national side and have launched a promotional video aimed at spreading the revitalized image of the game.

If you take a look at the promotional video you'll notice a set of familiar faces in the opening scenes. In trying to encapsulate the range of the game the RFL has included footage from the grass roots, amateur and women's games. The Wests Warriors feature with footage from their Harry Jepson Cup win over Northampton.

The RFL is trying to ignite a new branding and the video does well to highlight the elements of the game from today and from the past that make Rugby League the unique and exciting sport that it is. With the Superleague season set to start and the Challenge Cup underway this weekend the RFL will no doubt hope to ride the wave of support that comes from a new season. Fans can always be counted on at the start of the year when everything seems possible so now is a perfect time to launch a campaign aimed at energizing the game across all levels.
