"there's some big games at Twisted Peak today so be there before 2pm."

Naming the North Stand Nine can wait until we deal with today’s entertainment.

Both the First team and Reserves entertain Old Parkonians and Fozzie brings back George Rahilly after a sojourn in the lower sides and I fully expect GR to score along with Charlie Careless and Joshua Tutt. Parks are always competitive and I think that both sides will have to be at their best to get all three points. Chris Tookey has the services of midfield enforcer Lee Cornwall – can Lee play two games in succession? The Jury is out. Eman, Esky, Kempes and Brookey to score today – maybe a couple of them will only score in the warm up though. Prediction 6 points.

The Fours have already gone to Actonians Association with only 12 men for a double header. Who knows what can happen in double headers? For sure Joe Ivory and Charlie Smyth will score though.

The Fives are at home to HSBC and I expect them to snatch all 3 points. Freddie Yeats is a likely scorer whilst Gerrard “The Eternal Pessimist” Elliott, Josh Morris and Matt Connor have little or no chance of troubling the Bank keeper – none of these three have had a shot at goal for four seasons but today might be different. Also “ pigs might fly.” Come on boys prove me wrong.

The Sixes send a mighty squad to Boston Manor to play IBIS Eagles in search of their first win of the season. A big thanks to all those who made it possible to fulfil this fixture. Have a great day out – maybe the tide is turning.

Ladbrokes have been swamped with bets at 4 -5 that the First team game doesn't kick off on time. They are offering 9/4 on 2.04pm but I think that this price will drift nearer kick off tie so hold on to your bets until 1.30pm.

Anyway -- enjoy another Super Saturday at WWFC -- bathe in the new Lido -- tuck into the pies -- buy the few remaining horses for the Big Race Night - shake hands with the North Stand Nine and congratulate Jamie Askew and Sam Kemp on adding two new babies to the Bluebood Fraternity. Welcome to Lennie and Pippa and best wishes to Jane and Shannan for a swift return to full health.
