Tutty and Charlie Mac on target.

Thanks to Bromleians for hosting the Robin Gonzalez Trophy match again and thanks also to Steve Baxter, Steve Tingey and, of course, John Cooper for their warm welcome and hospitality. The renovation of the Bromleian's clubhouse has given the club a new dynamic atmosphere – loved the lighting too.

The game ended 3 – 2 in favour of the hosts who led 2 - 0 at the break. Josh Tutt reduced the arrears and debutant Aston Boyes won a penalty which Charlie McGeary converted. Aston also tested the home keeper twice in the last 15 minutes and the keeper made an astounding save from Sam Murray. Bromleians won the game in the last minute with their only shot of the second half whereas we hit the bar three times – that’s football and as Steve Baxter said "we rode our luck."

John Cooper presented the Trophy to the home skipper and we wish them well for the coming season which starts for them next Saturday.

This was a decent performance by the Bluebloods after only two training sessions -- we put in a 90 minutes effort, finishing strongly. Thanks to Sam Kemp for doing the warm up.

On Tuesday we play Old Wilsonians in our second pre season game at Bromley FC – kick off is at 8pm. Fozzie will be without Muzza, Skew, Ben Linter and Josh Kennedy but welcomes back Jamie James to the attack. I hope to see the Ravens Bar full of Wickham fans at 7.15pm.
