Kick Off 12 Noon At the John Cooper Ground Scrubbs Farm Bromley.

This fixture was instituted in 1988 in honour of Robin who played for both clubs and England as an amateur -- Robin tragically lost his life in 1985 due to an accident and, although none of the current players from either club will have known him, he is still remembered fondly by many of us.

This season's fixture is earlier than normal and is Andy Foster's squads first pre-season game since returning to training last week. Skipper Jamie Askew, Adam Freeman and Joe Walby are all on holiday and Ruan Da Silva, Dave Hawkins and George Scudder are expected back at training before the season starts on 7th September.

Since 1988 the spoils have been shared quiet evenly the Bluebloods have won 17, Bromleians 13 and one game in 1999 ended in a 1 - 1 draw. Last season Wickham won 4 - 2 with goal from Joe Walby, Josh Tutt, Sam Murray and Josh Kennedy -- the previous two games, however, saw Broms win 3 - 1 on both occasions.

We look forward to visiting Scrubbs Farm today and hope that a few supporters may be out of bed in time for kick off.

Sunday Team
This season we will have a Sunday team competing in the Orpington and District League under the name Centurions -- they won their first friendly 14 - 1 and maybe they can notch a "century of goals " before Christmas. A full article on this renewal of senior Sunday football at Corkscrew Hill will appear next week.
