Weekend preview 24/10/2020

The reserve team are the only team in action again on Saturday as they face Wyke Wanderers Reserves at The Ings.

The first team were due to travel to Salts FC on Saturday but a positive Covid test in the squad coupled with several other players having to self isolate meant the game has been postponed.

It will be another tough test for our second team who faced Wyke in pre-season so will know what sort of test they are up against.

And the away team have also had a pretty decent start to the season with two wins and one draw before only losing out 2-0 to champions elect Ilkley Town Reserves last time out.

Once again Scott Shaw will be without Lee Campbell for the game who serves the second game in his three match suspension, they do however welcome back Sam Straker who missed last weeks defeat to Leeds Modernians Reserves.

Henry Leach also continues his recovery after sustaining an injury just before the season started and managed fifteen minutes last week.

Although it will be a tough game the improvement is there to see week on week and it is surely only a matter of time before the team get some points on the board and hopefully start climbing the table.
