A huge win for the As
A much needed lift after a few tight games
With Lizzi away in NYC (Happy Birthday!) and Charlie at a special wedding (Congratulations Jo!), the As borrowed the super Darby to help bolster our squad.
We played with drive and determination, and made the ball work hard. In part because some of us wanted to save our legs!
The ball was bought through the court decisively and there wasn't any of the congestion in the centre court that we suffered from at Actonians last week.
Anna dropped back in the circle more, which helped split the "doubles" by the Barnes defence. Both her and Lucy shot well, giving us a great high goal difference
Was fab to see Kate back on court for a full 3/4 of the game, and put her injury behind her with each pass of the ball.
Some wonderful play, and special Rae-Rae mentions for Josie, Darby and Sasha who each had an exceptional game
Congratulations to Lucy who got Oppos player, but had to share players with Sasha.
