Club Code of Conduct

All members & supporters of this club are expected to play and/or support the playing of the game of Rugby Football Union in accordance with the spirit of the game, as exemplified in the RFU’s Core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship .

In particular, members should ensure that in their playing of the game, and in their general support of the club and its teams that they at no time indulge in any unsporting behaviour or activities which could blemish the good name of the Club or bring the reputation of the game into disrepute, namely:

Swearing, insulting opponents, making offensive remarks to the referee, touch judges or opposition supporters, deliberately feigning injury, taking property belonging to the opponents or the Club, publicly criticising the referee; playing under the influence of excessive alcohol or the influence of drugs, making racial or racist remarks or behaving in a way likely to cause offence, including to members of the public whilst travelling to or from a fixture.

Members should understand that the Club could be held answerable to the Surrey County Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football Union in turn for the actions of its members or supporters in respect of any misconduct as outlined above (but not exclusively). The Club in consequence could be punished for the actions of its members and supporters.

All members, their guests and visitors are requested that when they leave the premises, they do so in a quiet and orderly manner, having regard to those who live in close proximity to the Clubhouse and grounds. This Club will not select any player who repeatedly infringes this Code.

This Club may also hold an inquiry into any alleged breach of this code, and suspend or expel any member or supporter from membership of the Club who is found guilty of breaking this Code of Conduct.
