A sad week as Vandals lose two long standing members,Brian Dodd and Rex Montgomery RIP

We're sad to report that Brian Dodd passed away this week.
Brian was one of our most loyal supporters and he will be fondly remembered by generations of players for his enthusiastic support at 1st XV fixtures over many seasons. Many of you will have played with his son Richard and the thoughts of the whole Vandals family are with Richard and his sisters Juliet and Miranda this evening.
RIP Brian and thank you for your support.

It is also with great sadness that I have to report the passing of another Great Vandal, Rex Montgomery, who passed away peacefully in his sleep over last weekend.
Rex joined the club in the post war years and represented the 1st XV with great distinction in the late 40s and throughout the 50s,skippering the 1stXV in the 1954/55 season.
Rex was a lifelong supporter of the Vandals and a true Vandals legend on and off the pitch. He served as a Vice President for over 60 years and he regularly attended club lunches with his beloved wife Glenny. He was great character who loved the Vandals and he passed this passion for the Vandals onto his son Rad who helped ensure the numerous Vandals teams who had the pleasure of playing Jersey RFC over the years were always royally looked after on our visits to the Island.
Rex was a great Vandals character and we look forward to a day in the near future when we can properly toast his life as a Vandal.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to Rad and his family at this sad time.
RIP Rex and thank you for all your generous support of our club over the years .
