Members of Vandals RFC are invited to the rugby section's 82nd Annual AGM on Wednesday 8th July 2020 via an online webinar

This year AGM will follow a slightly different format due to the current government restrictions relating Covid-19 effect social gatherings. The rugby AGM gives members an opportunity to keep up to date with the latest rugby developments at Vandals and to ask questions to the rugby committee. This meeting is open to all members of our mini, junior and senior sections.

The format of the meeting will be as follows:
- All associated reports will be made available on the club website and via email shortly.
- Prior to the meeting a link will be made available for members to join the webinar.
- At the meeting no reports will present, please ensure you familiarise yourself with reports prior to the meeting.
- The meeting will be a forum to answer questions relating to the reports. This can be verbally or via the chat function.
- Voting will take place as normal for positions this will either be on the day if present or via proxy voting forms.

As ever the rugby committee is always looking for club members to join our committee. You do not need to be an expert in rugby but have an interest in the wellbeing of the club. As a committee we work towards a common goal of improving our members’ experience at Vandals.

The following elected positions are vacant:
- Mini Rugby Chair
- Social Secretary

The following non-elected positions are also vacant:
- 1st XV Team Manager
- 2nd XV Team Manager
- Communication Officer

If you are interested in filling any of the vacant positions, or would like some more information, please do not hesitate to contact Stuart (Rugby Secretary), where he can discuss any of the vacant roles and their key responsibilities.

Extracts from Club Rules:
Rule 14
There shall be given at least 21 clear days' notice (in accordance with the notice provisions set out at Articles 92 and 93) of every Section AGM, specifying the place, the day and the hour of the meeting, the agenda for the meeting as well as the general nature of any other business, to all members of the relevant Section Committee as are entitled to receive such notices from the Club.

Rule 17
All members shall be entitled to propose resolutions to be voted upon at any Section AGM. Such resolution must be seconded by a member and must be deposited with the relevant Section Committee Chairman at least seven (7) days before the AGM takes place at which it is to be proposed to the members. The Section Committee Chairman will ensure that any such resolution is circulated to all members entitled to attend and vote at the relevant Section AGM in advance of that meeting.

Rule 28
Any Full Member may nominate another member to a position on each Section Committee. Any nomination must be seconded by another Full Member and signed by the nominee. The nomination must be in the hands of the Secretary at least 7 days before the Section AGM at which the election will be voted upon takes place. The Secretary will ensure that details of all nominations are circulated to the members before such general meeting.
