Implications for this season

Weymouth Hockey Club

January 8th, 2021
Dear Member

As you are probably aware, all hockey is suspended throughout January. The Committee held a remote meeting on Monday evening to discuss the season.
You will recall that due to Covid19, membership was set up as four monthly payments so people only paid when training was able to take place, in line with Government and England Hockey Guidance.
Each member should now have paid two instalments of their membership. If payments are still outstanding from this period, please pay this promptly or speak to a committee member if this is not possible
The third payment was deferred due to the November lockdown.
This week, as we enter a third national lockdown, the club committee do not expect anyone to be paying their ‘3rd instalment’. All of your Teamo accounts should have now been updated to remove the ‘3 of 4’ instalment’, leaving only one outstanding payment (if you are up to date). If you have already paid your 3rd instalment then the 4th one has been deleted.

Obviously forgoing this portion of income, along with reduced match fees and fundraising opportunities, reduces the club’s income for the year. The Pitch Fund will not be building its savings for any unexpected additional costs for the new pitch and not growing the sinking fund for the running/maintenance etc of that new pitch when it arrives. In order to offset this shortfall, if you are in a position to donate your 3rd instalment to the club then it would be very much appreciated, though there is no pressure or expectation for this. This should be done as a BACs transfer directly to the Club account (not through Teamo).
Sort code: 30-92-69
Account number: 32676960
The committee remain hopeful that hockey will resume again before the end of the season and will assess instalment 4 once the situation is clearer.
Hopefully this is a clear way of explaining where we are at. If you have any questions then do please contact Megs (07718599508) who will be more than happy to explain further.
Please note the above only applies to senior membership as junior membership (U14, U12, U10) is paid termly so no amendment to Teamo is required.

Regards
