Weymouth traveled away to an always interesting and exciting match against Wimborne.

Weymouth matched the usual high intensity start from Wimborne and out good pressure on them going forward and pushing them into their half. Wimborne can back at Weymouth, who managed to keep all attacks at bay.

Weymouth's first goal came from some brilliant play between Lynda Dewitt and Emily Austin. Emily Austin then recieved the ball in the D and struck for goal, hitting the backboard with force.

Wimborne continued to put pressure on Weymouth, but Jo BraZier and 'Naomi Gadian held strong at the back. Wimborne managed to win a penalty corner. Wimborne struck first time and the ball was deflected high and put into the back of the net illegally by a Wimborne attacker. Luckily, the umpires recognised this and disallowed the goal.

Half time came and Weymouth identified areas where they needed to improve. The players took this on board and really came into their own. High pressure from the Weymouth forwards forced Wimborne defenders into mistakingly giving Emily Austin the ball on the top of the D. Emily calmly took the ball on her reverse and struck the ball into the back of the net, making the score 2-0.

Wimborne carried on attacking and forces goalkeeper laura Osborne to make some fantastic double saves, keeping Weymouth with a good lead.

The third goal game as Weymouth won a penalty corner due to a foot in the D. A straight strike from Natalie Halford looped over the defenders stick and hit the back boarD, giving Weymouth a 3-0 lead.

Weymouth continued with good pressure, forcing Wimborne to make mistake after mistake. A great run by scorer Natalie Halford, down the right hand side ended with a cross across the D to two Weymouth attackers. Lara Blundell carefully slotted the ball into the goal, giving Weymouth a 4-0 win and 3 points, making them joint third in the league.
