The seasiders ventured inland to Frome with the bare 11 players needed, after losing 2 players at the last minute. On a high after beating league leaders Bournemouth the previous week and with aspirations of another victory.
Unfortunately, these aspirations were short lived.
Wendy Butcher controlled the game from the centre and pushed the team forward in a torrent of shots on goal. The opposition goaly saved Frome's bacon and all shots were deftly parried.
A lucky goal for the opposition left Weymouth high and dry.
The one armed umpires did not help the balance of the game and the forwards were left infuriated.
Lara Blundell struggled to hide her disdain and was subsequently warned.
The Seasiders returned to the coast having dropped from third to fifth in the table, but with plenty of motivation to succeed in the second half of the league.
Team: laura Osborne, Sophie foot, Jo brazier, Luce Byrne, Wendy butcher, Natalie Halford, Kym young, Anna burnet, Caitlin dive, Emily Austin and Lara blundell.
