Two Weymouth Spartans players are set to take their bow in the DFL representative side on Thursday. Grant Chance and Clint Coltart will be in the squad that takes on the Perry Street Representative side at Bridport FC's ground managed by Spartans supremo Kieron Howes.
The club should see it as a great honour to have people from within involved in such a prestigious event. This is the first time the DFL have been represented and in future weeks they will play the Bournemouth League, Dorset Premier League and Hampshire League in competitive games.
A few players have been forced to withdraw, John Litherland (Kangaroos), Liam Miles (Chickerell), Liam Cullen (Witchampton) and another Spartan Aarron Williams are the players missing out for individual reasons.
Everyone at the club wishes the players well.
