1sts travelled to table toppers Creigiau and won an important toss on a damp wicket, putting the opposition in to bat.
Creigiau got off to a slow but steady start, reaching 81-1 before the wickets started to tumble. Golden Arm David Tibbs took 3 wickets, two of them with the aid of keeper Adam Fletcher who managed two stumpings.
Two wickets for Mohit and Kristian meant Creigiau were bowled out for 155.
WHCC got off to a decent start, putting on 33 for the first wicket, Hogben moving up to open and scoring 25.
Sadly three of the top four fell LBW and we were left in all sorts of bother at 103-9 despite a cameo 20 from Donk.
With the game all but over, WHCC needed a miracle, and luckily for us Lewis Maidment and Mohit were in the mood to oblige. Given instructions to scrape to 125 for an extra batting point and go from there, and when Maidment launched his first six of his career over the sight screens, it was officially ON. 9 needed off 11 balls, but the pair kept their composure and saw us home with 4 balls to spare. Unbelievable scenes, and thanks to that we now find ourselves top of the league.
