The Wasps recorded their first win of the season, albeit with the help of some first team superstars. Having said that the opposition was from 6 leagues higher and had fairly recently beating the Warriors by 90 odd points, so any help was gratefully received.

Apparently there is no truth in the rumour that the coaches ordered that only ex St Marys players were allowed to score, as Dean Weaver managed to get on the try score sheet alongside Dan Hawkins, Paul Ford and Rob Ford. All four trys were scored out wide and there was an extreme gust of wind during the conversion attempts. Apparently.
