WHitehall storm to victory over Sarries

20th October 2013: Saracens under 10’s V Whitehall under 10’s

Great start to the 2013 season from our under 10’s with a great example of junior rugby which was most enjoyable to watch. From the off our intensions were clear, the boys were focused on the job in hand and moved the ball well among the forwards and backs allowing Joe to run in the first try. Saracens came back with a try, Our forwards led by Harvey J were on every ball ripping and driving forwards, while Ben kept the backs lined up and in position , Ethan scrum half controlled the number of forwards that went into the rucks, allowing us to win the majority of them, then getting the ball back to the backs to allow Charles and James to run in two more try’s. Saracens replied with another and we replied to this with another from Joe on the wing and Ben Fly half.
Second half picked up where we left off, with Harvey J driving the forwards on, Bailie coming on as Scrum half and taking control of the rucks and scrums getting the ball out quickly and following up in support got a try from a loose ball on Saracens line. Saracens came back at us with all they had but the whole team put up a great piece of defensive rugby on our line to keep them out. From a scrum and quick ball distribution from Bailie to the backs allowed Joe to score again. Saracens broke for a good try down our blind side, we replied with another try from Bailie.

This was a great Team effort which is reflected by the number of scorers . Well done also to Saracens as they also played some good rugby which the score doesn’t reflect.
Also welcome and well done to the new players at the club that went in and out of the team seamlessly.
