Commenting on the decision Rustington FC club chairman James Bennett explained “we have had a superb season remaining undefeated in our league programme. This is tinged with some disappointment that ground grading regulations prevent us from being promoted to Division 1. Progress in the National League System for clubs is now determined by club facilities as well as playing ability and we have to face the reality that we will never be able to progress if we remain at Jubilee Avenue. Crabtree Park is just 2 miles away and has some of the best facilities in the area and a step 5 ground grading”

Wick FC Chairman Terry Doyle added “ We look forward to welcoming our friends and near neighbours to Crabtree Park next season. We have ambitious plans to continue developing our ground into the best facility in the area and the extra income generated from this ground share will be applied to this project to the benefit of both clubs”
