Jamie’s western league career started at Oldland then moved on to Bitton, then to Cadbury Heath. He then moved back to Bitton for his second spell at the club before returning to Heath again. He’s been number 1 and club captain at Longwell green for the past 3 seasons and only in recent weeks found himself out the team.

Manager Joe Pople had this to say on the signing of Jamie “ I’m really pleased to have managed to sign Jay, he’s someone I know we’ll and his playing career speaks for itself. He will fit perfectly into the way we play as his distribution is excellent and we’re a team that like to play, at the moment. We’re having a terrible time with goalkeepers this year with our number one Ash Wintle still waiting for a consultation on his groin problem, we brought in George Hale whose been absolutely superb filling in for Wintle, unfortunately George has broke his ribs in the Little Stoke game and will be out untill February at the earliest, so we’ve had to act fast and bring someone in which is never easy especially a goalkeeper at this stage of the season but it’s all fell into place with Jamie and we’re delighted he’s here.”

Jamie will go straight into the side at Ruardean next Saturday.
