Saturday the 21st of June saw the first annual St Pats fishing match. The under 14s, once again thinking outside the box with a novel way to put a few pounds into the piggy bank,
Hall Lane Fishery at Parbold was the chosen venue for what proved to be a very pleasant days fishing. A total of 50 tickets were sold and the lads and dads gathered to fish off for the £150 first prize. STE and ALEC at RECLAIMED FLAGSTONES LTD very generously donated this.

The action was relentless for most and everyone caught fish, which was really pleasing. Special mention to STEVE WINSTANLEY our team photographer who came along to get a few shots for the record.
Mark Haworth won the match with 50lb exactly. Well-done Mark!!
Aaron Caunce won the junior prize of a rod and reel - kindly donated by NORTH WEST ANGLING in Hindley - with a very creditable weight of 21lb 1oz.
WAYNE REDDY deserves a very special thank you for his tireless work behind the scenes to make this event happen.
To everyone who bought a ticket a sincere thank you and
to all the parents who gave prizes for the raffle on the day.
All in all we had a great day out, a few laughs and raised over £500 for team funds!!
