The club is saddened to learn of the death of our former player and legend Jackie Foster..

The Club have, been saddened to learn of the death of our former player Jackie Foster. Jackie was a member of the team from 1969 to 1975, appearing in 280 games and the fifth most appearances for the club.

Our thoughts are with Jackie’s wife Ann and their sons Paul and Lee. The Club held a minute’s silence before the game v Esh Winning FC in his memory.

FOSTER August 26, peacefully at home in Bishop Auckland, with his family, Jackie aged 67 years, formerly of Witton Park. Beloved husband of Ann, devoted dad of Paul and Lee, dear father-in-law to Julie and Claire, a much loved and loving grandad to Laura, Lewis, Amy, Lucy and Chloe, dearest brother of Moira and brother-in-law to Peter, also a dear nephew, cousin and very good friend to many. Will friends please meet for service in the Wear Valley Crematorium, at 2.00p.m., on Friday, September 2. By his own request, family flowers only, donations may be given for a family chosen charity. After the service all are invited for refreshments in Tindale WMC, preferably no dark clothing.
