One of our most distinguished and distinguishable members passes away

Jonty Fallows
Another dear old friend of sixty years has died, having had a very difficult few months with leg operations and his breathing troubles.
He was a regular and keen fourth team player in the 1960’s; a popular President in 2008-10 and as the architect and designer, the huge improvement of the hall will be his lasting legacy.
He was a faithful supporter of the 1st XV, both at home and away and, even when in an isolation ward in hospital, was desperate to get the results of the new season’s games.
He had a great sense of humour, was always the first to buy a round after the game and the pre-match lunch tables will never be the same without him.
The flag will be flying at half-mast on Saturday and there will be a minute’s silence before the game.

The funeral will be private, but Sue and the family would like us to remember Jonty at a celebration of his life, at the Club on Friday 18th October, from 12.30pm. We are encouraged to wear something pink in honour of the great man's outstanding sartorial elegance.
