Antipodean young guns have arrived and are looking forward to their first run out tomorrow

I’m happy to announce that our two New Zealand players have arrived and are settling in at Terra Nova School, where they will work and live on site. They are Legin Hotham and Vili Tuipulotu, a centre and back rower respectively and they are straight out of the Hamilton Boys High School First XV where Legin was also Captain. HBHS are the current World School Champions, having won the Sanix Tournament in Japan this year, beating a range of teams worldwide including Paarl (South Africa) and Filton College (England). HBHS are also the top team in New Zealand for two years running, having drawn this year’s final with Scot’s College of Wellington. Obviously not just run of the mill players!

They’re here for a year and I’m sure they will make a big impact within the club. They will be having their first run out in Wilmslow colours tomorrow for the seconds v Caldy and will be back at the club later in the afternoon. Please take the time to say hello and give them a big Wilmslow welcome!

Special thanks to Terra Nova School for their assistance in providing work and accommodation while the boys are here.
