Good day to you mighty Dons!

Good Day to you Ye Mighty Dons!

Its that cracking time of the week, with lunch ahead and only one afternoon of the slog before another cracking weekend of Dons action. This weekend we have no womens' XV fixture and all the mens' sides are away. So lets hi ho and off we go to the fixture list......

Saturday sees the 1st XV travel to Bedford Athletic with a 3pm kick off (floodlights). Fair play to all who are travelling to support and ensure you make your voices heard. We currently sit in 3rd place with Rochford at the top of the table and Guernsey in second just 2 points ahead of us. Every single point from now on counts so if you can - make your voices heard!

The 2nd XV are travelling to Cantebury to play their 2nd XV with a 2pm kick off.

The Mavericks of the 3rd XV are going to Chobham RFC to play their fixture this weekend - good to see them back in action. They have a a 2pm kick off as well.

Finally the Strollers are taking on top of the table Bec Old Boys away - they also have a 2pm kick off.

Good luck to everyone wearing the colours this weekend - let's get those Ws across the board.

Now then - my pedigree chums. I have mentioned this before but for the first time our club this season has partnered with The Wooden Spoon Society. This charity many of you will know helps disadvantaged young people by funding life-changing projects in the areas of physical and mental health.
Our first fund-raising dinner will be held on February 28th at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm sit down. There will be a raffle as well as a charity auction. The cost is £35 per head and John Inverdale is our guest speaker.

To get a ticket please make payments to WRFC: sort: 309966 acc: 39300768
Please use the heading "Spoon" and "your name."

Any questions email myself or Chairman Wow.

Finally - if you can lend a hand we have a few drainage issues at the moment and a small task force are meeting at the club in the morning to dig some trenches. If you have a an hour or so tomorrow and could lend a hand with a shovel and a will for digging then please do lend a hand. I believe there is a pint and a bacon roll as payment.

That's enough from me chums.
Have a lovely weekend all!

Big Love
