Happy Friday Ye Mighty Dons!

Happy Friday Ye Mighty Dons!

It's Friday - so let's have a run down of this weekend's fixtures in the senior part of the club - and have a look at the upcoming events at Beverley Meads. If mini and youth managers can forward this missive out to their groups that would be a delight.

Ok Saturday sees the 1st XV at home taking on Sidcup with a 2pm kick off. It would be great to have a really packed touchline for this one as it's a belter of a clash! Wimbledon are currently third in the league - only a few points behind both second and first. Every point matters - and YOUR voice can make that difference!

At the same time - and also at home - those dashing dogs of the 2nd XV take on the Rosslyn Park Rangers! This is another big fixture - so its a real fest of ruggers at Beverley Meads this weekend.

Last and by no means least - the old gueard of the Strollers are away to Old Ruts - again with a 2pm kick off for a double header of a fixture. Old Ruts will be licking their wounds from the last run in with these two teams so it's a mighty spicy morsel of rugby action on offer across the board.

There is no Womens XV fixture this weekend sadly - and the team sheets as I have them are below. Good luck to all wearing the colours this weekend!

Wooden Spoon Dinner
As I have mentioned a few times now - this is the club's first year of association with the very worthy cause that is the Wooden Spoon charity - which does great work for young people in the rugby community with difficulties and issues that can be helped by their support.
Now - we are holding a fab dinner, with charity raffle and auction on the 28th February with tickets going at just £35 per head. Our guest of honour will be the face of BBC rugby John Inverdale and it is set to be a truly fantastic evening. You can buy tickets for this over the bar or by direct bank transfer to the club. If you want further details please email me or Chairman John Wow Woods but lets really pack this bad boy out.

Don't forget to visit the club website for the senior fixtures and start booking up the lunches for home 1st XV fixtures - just £15 per head for adults for great food and company.

That's all from me. See you tomorrow.
