A cracking midweek fixture in the freezing cold!

This was our first competitive fixture against Sutton & Epsom for a number of years. We traveled after a tough fixture at the weekend and after a long week, not used to evening fixtures we thought this would be hard work! There really was a fine display of rugby by both our forwards and backs and our scrum was the strongest it has been all season. It was tiring, at times, not being able to play smooth rugby as a result of argy bargy from our opposition but in true Wimbledon Ladies style, we kept our cool and worked on the task in hand. Our three trys came after long periods of team play and it puts us in a good place for our adventure to Guernsey next weekend. Congratulations to Alex, Emily and Maddy on their trys and to Gutti, our captain, for scoring two conversions. Congratulations also to Rebecca Watts and Stacey Malinowski on their first matches for Wimbledon, may they be the first of many.
