Wimbledon Women's XV made it six matches unbeaten in a tough but rewarding fixture to end their 17/18 league campaign placed fourth in Championship 2. It took a little while for the team to get going but when they did, they treated a busy touchline to incredible displays of both attacking and defensive rugby. It felt great (if a little lucky at times!) to have no points scored against and to finish a clean sweep of wins this weekend for Wimbledon's senior sides. Tries came from fullback Luciana, Winger Alex, Prop Anna and winger Emily. Congratulations to fly half, and captain, Gutti, on converting two of these.
Cullompton have been a great opposition at both home and away matches this season and we look forward to meeting them again next season.
We were very pleased to reward an "Outstanding Achievement" award to back row, Jo Bradley. Jo joined Wimbledon three seasons ago after being dragged down by Team Manager, Meg, who was at Cambridge with her. Jo has been a huge asset to the club and we are very sad to be waving goodbye to her as she played her last game before retirement. Good luck for whatever your Sunday afternoons hold next winter; you will be sorely missed.

We're now looking forward to playing in the Surrey Cup Final on Monday 7th May at Esher along with three Wimbledon Men's teams - see you there!
