With oppositions cried off, we had a social runout.

With 8 aside, this game should have been one of open spaces and wingers breaking clear. However, the general concensus seemed to be pile it down the middle and hope for the best. Peter was daft enough to take on trying to ref this rabble.
Whites captain Lea Chesson marshalled his troops well. Frosty kicked off but it wasn't a drop kick as he's scared of the floor. Rhys would have chased it but his legs weren't working. Tug and Manuel were willing runners- well we were willing to give them the ball and they sort of ran with it. On the other side, Will decided to use the whites as speed humps, Hollick made half a game and Peter decided he wants to go back to modelling. The whites took an early lead but Yoyo decided it was too muddy for white shirts and joined the turncoats. Dan was quite happy letting others do the hard graft, with Jonny getting released for a few gallops. With the last play of the game, the turncoats managed to score and according to Peters abacus that gave them a 43-40 win.
The key thing was that we had 16 lads out there playing rugby, laughing and smiling in the mud. Back to the serious stuff next Saturday with the 1st XV travelling to Southend.
