Witham kicked off and immediately showed determination to get the ball back. Yami Kamanga put in a great tackle and Jimmy Dines was quick to steal the ball and get it to Owen James, who ran through to open the scoring. On the next attack, Owen was halted but Daniel Grey was in support and outran the Billericay winger to score. The visitors rallied and their fly half showed great agility to evade the Witham tackles and score in the corner. Owen James once again broke through to score his second of the game. Jack Hobden came within inches of the line but was stopped by a strong tackle. Olly Roberts was supporting and drove the ball over to score his first try for Witham. Billericay scored at the very end of the half to give a 4-2 scoreline.
Witham started the second half well with Maleli Hunter scoring to extend the lead. But the visitors rallied and scored 3 tries to level the scores. A tackle by Ryan Johanson knocked the ball loose and Charlie Williams gathered it to advance forwards. He off loaded to Owen who scored to take the lead again. Time was almost up when the visitors levelled once again. Witham kicked off and went for the win. With a penalty just 10 meters out, Harvey Hobden fed Owen James who ran through to score the winning try.
