back to winning ways for town

it was a close fought game throughout with for a change both keepers in plenty of action, in the first few minutes withams martyn guest did well to take the ball off the feet of kieran hughs-mason as he was about to shoot whilst at the other end louis wells saved a shot from withams new signing jack paxman. a shot from withams kurk smith was cleared off the line by joe bruce and wells saved a free kick from tom wraight as witham continually attacked the home goal .the "tanners" did fight back , but their shooting was erratic and off target. witham eventually too the lead in the 18th minute when RYAN BLACKMAN bundled the ball over the line after good build up and scramble, and then went further ahead in the 25th minute when after a good run and cross by conor mead ,KURK SMITH was put through to shot past wells.
witham were now well in charge and with better finishing should have stretched their lead , but as it was the hosts pulled one back when HUGHS-MASON volleyed in from close range ,to complete the scoring before half time
