kimble again made a couple of changes talyor was recalled and whitnell made his firs start of the season, in this game the home team opened strongly and at times put witham s defence under pressure ,whilst the witham attack did not get their shots on target, yet 5 minutes before half time took the lead when brad stopher headed on a long free kick from danny sambridge to sam talyor who scored with a low shot just inside the post.
as the scoreline suggests witham dominated the second half but did not score again until the 69th minute when rob whitnell dived and powerfully headed in from a corner.just two minutes later talyor scored again after a good run and neat finish and he completed his hattrick in the 79th minute when he lobbed dan mulrooney the home keeper skillfully. tom
wraight who had been playing well then at last had a slice of luck when his shot just rolled over the line with mulrooney out of his goal
just before the final whistle jamar dobson scored with a tremendous shot on the turn and to complete the scoring ,as the heavy rain fell as it had done for most of the game
