No shock for bowers

Witham made several changes to the team , due to injuries and resting players due to the forth coming heavy fixture list, but it was a poor game in comparison with the out standing performances in recent games..

Yet they won the game convincingly that puts them in the hat for the next round of the FA Cup. from the start Witham attacked and early in the game James Robinson headed over and john Watson fired high over.
bowers had the first corner that was scrambled away , after more pressure on the home goal Witham took the lead in the 24th minute when JAMES ROBINSON was put through and cleverly shot under the diving home keeper Sean Hinton.

Witham keeper Martyn guest made a fine one handed save from a header as the home side fought back.
Witham went further ahead when JAMES STEVENS scored from the penalty spot as Robinson was dragged down in the area by Frank Everett for which he received a straight red card.

Witham scored a third just before half time with a good build up ,JAMES ROBINSON headed in brilliantly after a good cross by Ryan Childs.

Soon after the break Robinson was put through again but Hinton blocked his shot , how ever ROBINSON completed his hat trick in the 56th minute when once again he shot under Hinton to what proved top be the last goal of the game.

Bowers lost another player when Dan Brown was red carded after a foul on Conner Mead who had to leave the game injured.
Hinton then made saves from Wraight and Robinson but near the end of the game the keeper was unfortunately injured and had to leave the game his place taken by Jason Baker a former popular keeper at Witham.

The draw for the next round is a home tie v either Bognor or Lewis
