It has been announced this evening by England Rugby that there will be no competitive rugby played during the 2020/21 season.

In a statement on their website, they explain "We believe that, even if a return to full contact rugby becomes possible, playing a meaningful competitive league season resulting in promotion and relegation is no longer feasible."

Although this is highly disappointing, we agree that the safety of the players, coaches and supporters must come first.

We will still be hoping to play some friendly matches as and when the RFU’s Return to Rugby Roadmap allows.

Further details on any developments will be communicated through the usual channels.
