The Withy Junior Player completes his amazing challenge for The Captain Tom Foundation

During February, Jago Coates has undertaken an impressive challenge to walk 100 miles in the memory of Captain Sir Tom Moore. Jago chose the distance based on Cpt. Tom's age of 100 years old when he unfortunately passed away on the 2nd February.

The Withies Under 10's player has achieved his target through a series of walks and runs around the local area, including some longer walks up the estuary path to Topsham and across the coast path to Budleigh tackling multiple terrains, finishing off an incredible total distance of 101.63 miles with a 1.8mi run yesterday afternoon.

Whilst taking on challenge in the memory of the famous fundraiser for the NHS, Jago has been raising money for The Captain Tom Foundation; a charity set up in Cpt. Tom's name to inspire hope and raise money for several vital charities, such as Mind and the Royal British Legion. So far, as of Sunday Evening, Jago has already beaten his £1,000 target by raising an incredible £1,376!

You can help Jago to make this total even larger by donating to his JustGiving page by clicking here
