Withycombe had a difficult game ahead with the home side fielding some big players.
There were few attacking chances for Withies with the game being played narrow as the home side tried to use their weight advantage in the forwards. Withycombe didn't shrink and played brilliantly in defence, keeping Torquay pushed back. Withy attacked well but a try and penalty was all that separated the teams at half time 8-0.
The second half was equally tough. Torquay were unable to use their advantage to great affect and were only able to score one other try to finish the game 15-0 all due to the courage and skill of the Withy side.
