With the league taking a short break, we head down the A38 to face Plymouth Argaum in the semi final of the Devon Junior Cup.
Our 15-11 win over Dartmouth in the Quarter Final in November has set up this match with Argaum, and whatever may be happening in our league campaigns is set aside and its all to play for with a home final awaiting the winner.
It’s our first cup meeting, but we’re far from unfamiliar with the Plymouth-based side, with thirteen meetings in recent years. Of those games, Withy have come away with nine victories. Back in September, a closely fought match saw Withy sneak a late 14-16 win away at Bickleigh Down. In our home meeting, Withy were awarded a home walkover with the visitors being unable to raise a side.
With two well-stocked sides for this one, we’re good and ready to go and hopeful to get one step closer to a chance of some silverware in our centenary season.
The game kicks off at 2pm and we hope to see as many as you there to cheer on the boys!
