After a week off, we’re heading up the A30 to play one of our most familiar opponents, Honiton.
As well as a chance to return to winning ways and earning some vital league points, the match also doubles as the semi final of the Devon Junior Cup. As current holders, Withy will be keen on getting through to the final to defend the silverware against Exeter Saracens, who booked their place last weekend.
It’s been a mixed season so far, with the boys currently sat in 8th place in the league standings, however there are definite signs of improvement as the squad continues to build in strength. A result this weekend could make a big difference in the table, with the middle four sides separated by just four league points.
Games against Honiton are equally split, with the nineteen meetings seeing nine wins for each side and one draw. Traditionally, both sides play well with home advantage, however, there have been some exceptions, and with both league positions at stake and a cup final up for the offering, both sides will be keen on making a big effort… this should be a cracker of a game to watch!
The game kicks off at 2:30pm at Allhallows Playing Fields in Honiton. We hope to see you there!
