Withies return to Raleigh Park this Saturday to welcome Old Plymothian & Mannamedian (OPM) in round four of the 2026/27 season, looking to get back on track after a difficult start.
The boys will be looking to build on the positive spells shown in their opening fixtures and turn those performances into a result.
OPM arrive at Raleigh Park after a 37–19 home win over Tavistock, followed by a high-scoring 62–41 defeat away to Brixham II last weekend. Both sides will be keen to respond to their latest result, setting up an interesting contest on Saturday.
Last season, we had two very different games against today’s visitors, first playing out a hard-fought 34–34 draw at KGV Fields in December before Withy produced a dominant performance at Raleigh Park in March, winning 80–7. The boys will be hoping to draw on that home advantage again as they look to get their season moving in the right direction.
There are a couple of welcome additions to the Withycombe side this week, with Captain Jack Fear and Noah Williams returning after missing last Saturday. Bradley Eltham and Morgan West also make their first appearances of the season, while the rest of the side remains largely unchanged from last week’s outing against Bideford.
The focus will be on putting the lessons from recent weeks into practice, cutting out the errors and making more of the opportunities created. With home advantage and the support from the sidelines, the boys will be looking to put in a performance to build on.
Kick-off is at 2:30pm at Raleigh Park on Saturday. Come down and get behind the Withies as they look to get their season moving in the right direction.
