In what would’ve been a free week in the league, we travel down to Plymouth for the rearranged round 14 match against Plymstock Albion Oaks.
Withies will be hoping to put the last two games behind them when they travel down the A38 this weekend. Last weekend, Withy’s injury and unavailability list meant that an under-strength team of 17 made the journey to Tavistock and, despite making a good account of themselves in the circumstances, Liam Cullen’s 52nd minute try was the only score for us, losing the game 43-7 keeping us ninth in the table.
Our hosts currently sit in fifth, having most recently beaten Torquay 45-5 at Horsham Fields last week.
When we last met at the start of the season all the way back to round two, it was honours even as tries by Matt Rye and Ben Bolwell and a Will Cooper penalty were matched by Oaks in a 15-15 draw.
This weekend’s team sheet certainly varies from that side back in September, however with a similar mix of youth and experience in the side, we’re still looking forward to a good competitive game.
Saturday’s game kicks off at the earlier time of 1pm from Horsham Fields in Plymouth (PL9 0DF). We had some amazing support for the boys last week and we hope to see you all back again!
For those that can’t come down, updates will be available through social media or on this page
