Tomorrow afternoon the Withy 2s welcome Teignmouth 2s to Raleigh Park in the next round of the 2025/26 Merit Table.

After an enforced week off last week due to selection issues, the boys are back with a full side once again and ready to continue their impressive return to competitive rugby.
After four matches, the 2s sit sixth in the merit table. However, as we’ve said before, with all the teams above us having played more games so far, it is tough to use this as a barometer for the success at this point. In each of their games, the side has played some impressive rugby. At a club level, it is still a huge achievement to be able to field two full senior mens sides in all but one of the weeks so far which alone shows how far the club has come in recent times; and with the selected team showing a lot of consistency each week, the side can continue to gel and further grow from strength to strength.

Our visitors this weekend, Teignmouth sit second after playing five games, so will provide a strong test for our 2s. A test I’m sure the boys will look forward to.
