This weekend sees the Withy 2s head up the A376 to play Exeter Engineers II.
This is the second game against the Engineers this month with the sides meeting back on the 1st November.
Two late scores for the engineers saw them take the 14-19 win at Raleigh Park, a frustrating result for Withy after leading throughout the game. The boys will be keen on building some early momentum and will be hopeful for a result to level the statistics for the season.
Last weekend, a dominant display from Withy saw them cross the whitewash eight times in an emphatic 44-08 win over Honiton IIs. The result elevated the 2s into third place in the Merit Table after 6 matches.
With the squad building nicely, we’re excited to welcome debutants Jake Lewis & Eoin Ross to the club, and we look forward to seeing how they get on in their first outing off the bench.
The match kicks off at the slightly earlier time of 2pm at Exeter Athletic’s Old Mill Lane ground in Clyst St. Mary.
We hope to see you there to provide a supporting voice for the boys as they continue to shine in their maiden season!
