Match Preview

Witney of course lost to the Yellamen in September Away in the league 3-1 after
goalkeeper Jamie Zoldan's harsh dismissal for a professional foul even though he
appeared to get a touch on the ball.

Ascot under Jeff Lamb currently sit in 16th in the table but have played a
couple of games less than most. As well as beating us they have had good results
against Marlow drawing 1 all just this week with Boon getting the goal, and a
win over Slimbridge 1-0 in the earlier round of the Vase before they beat Chinnor
away 1-0 in the last round. Key man is Ben Knight who has 5 goals in the league.

Team news is that Jamie Zoldan is suspended for the first of two games and Ryan
and Jamie Brooks remain sidelined.

Ascot View & Preview (thanks to Ascot Utd for this)

After narrow 1 nil victories in the previous rounds of the FA Vase away to Chinnor in the last round and at home in an excellent display against Slimbridge at the beginning of September, Ascot will take heart from their league victory at home to Witney Town last month and the excellent display against Marlow on Tuesday evening showing a welcome return to form. The yellamen have reserved some of their best performances for games against stronger sides and they will have to be at their best tomorrow against a side that started the season strongly but have stalled a little over recent weeks but like Ascot are unbeaten at home in the league
