Witton travel to new-boys Shifnal Town on Saturday afternoon for their first-ever meeting in a league game.
Shifnal have performed very well so far this season after gaining promotion from the Midland Football League via last season’s play offs, beating 1874 Northwich in the final.
They currently sit second in the table following a 5-2 home win against Vauxhall Motors in midweek, so will go into the game full of confidence.
Witton have met Shifnal Town once before, back in the 1982/83 season in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup at the Central Ground with the Shropshire club winning 2-0.
Ben Harrison’s team face a difficult test against a strong team but with striker Tom Hoyle in good form, aided by leading goalscorer Joe Duckworth they will hoping to get the right result.
