Season's awards were presented at the annual Dinner Dance

The annual Dinner Dance, postponed for the last two years due to Covid, finally took place on Saturday evening 23 April 2022 at the DoubleTree in Woking. We had a fantastic night, full of fun, laughter and dancing.

The award winners were as follows:

The President's Cup - Tracy Wright, Welfare and Covid Officer

Ladies' team of the year - Ladies 1s
Men's team of the year - Men's 2s

Ladies' player of the season - Cara Falconer of Ladies 1s
Men's player of the season - Manakin of Men's 4s

Ladies' most improved player - Joint between Isla Kerr of Ladies 4s and Katy Dickinson of Ladies 2s
Men's most improved player - Barney Wright of Men's 2s

The awards were presented by Gilly Carter, Club Secretary, as both Rob Pike, President, and Ketan Patel, Chairman, were unable to attend. They both sent their apologies.

The President's Cup was awarded to Tracy Wright, the club's Welfare and Covid Officer who has done a wonderful job for many years and, in particular, in dealing with the challenges of Covid at the hockey club. Rob said "This is a crucial role at any time but has been particularly demanding during the Covid pandemic and the club owes a huge debt of gratitude to Tracy for all she has done for us during such a difficult period."

Many thanks to Katie Hook for organising such a great event.

Congratulations to the award winners and to all for a successful hockey season.
